He was over 100 years ahead of Atkins and struggled with being Obese most of his life until after dozens of doctors, he met a Doctor named William Harvey who gave him the secret to weight loss.</p>
<p>Banting published a book in 1863 called &#8220;Letter On Corpulence&#8221;. There were 2 more editions published within the next 7 years. After reading some very poor digital versions of his book, I have decided to make a good re-write of this classic book. The book is now in the public domain and I even think William Banting would be pleased to see this book still in print. This is my small contribution to the Low Carb community and I hope that it will ignite a spark in someone to get better control of their health. I will try and release it in the next few days.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Got up early today. Have a renewed energy to get going on the house and my goals. I have created my own office for my stuff but I already need to de-junk it so my goal this Saturday is to get baskets into each room and de-junk everything out to the garage for sorting. So that is the big item today which is De-junk.</p>
<p>I also put the no-bite on my fingernails this morning so I can work on breaking that habit and I have been doing good on my low-carb diet this past week. BTW: I was eating the KFC double down for lunch and thought it only had 3 carbs but after review find that it has 18 carbs. If you couple that with (4) McDonald&#8217;s sausage patties (4 carbs) and (2) McDonald&#8217;s folded egg (4 carbs), just those two meals put me at 26 carbs per day which I did not realize was happening.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Usually I don&#8217;t make a list but this year I am going to do it. 2 years ago was my best goal setting year so far but I want to make 2012 THE year. I want to make the list small but achievable goals but I also want to make several so I will constantly be working towards them. Here are my list of items that I would like to accomplish in 2012.</p>
<ul>
<li>Lose weight to a minimum of 225 lbs.</li>
<li>Stop biting my fingernails</li>
<li>Dress professionally at work everyday.</li>
<li>Finish paint, flooring and trim in interior of my home.</li>
<li>De-Clutter every room in my home.</li>
<li>Digitize all of my Genealogy records</li>
<li>Digitize all of my photos</li>
<li>Pay off Credit Card</li>
<li>Get my Ford F100 running and on the road</li>
<li>Finish my Bathroom</li>
<li>Sell all unwanted items on eBay and Craigslist</li>
<li>Finish work on Shed</li>
<li>Finish three seasons room</li>
<li>Read the entire bible</li>
<li>Clean back yard and get rid of old bricks / yard waste</li>
<li>Keep home clean daily</li>
<li>Get mail bin for front door &#8211; Stop paper clutter</li>
<li>Get a emergency kit made with flash light etc.</li>
<li>Create a legacy folder for all my information</li>
<li>Get my blood pressure down into the normal range</li>
<li>Get off of Cholesterol medicine</li>
<li>Volunteer at least once per month</li>
<li>Take a cake decorating class</li>
<li>Walk at least 5,000 step per day with a goal of 10,000</li>
<li>Sleep at least 6 hours per night</li>
</ul>
<p>Looking over my list &#8211; I feel that everyone of these is achievable in the coming year AND most of these items are already on my goals list. This would make such a huge impact on my life if I can accomplish these goals. Having said that &#8211; this isn&#8217;t really that big of a list and several of these could be done on any good weekend. I am stopping now &#8211; I am getting a start on the New Year and cleaning the house today.</p>
