A few years ago in 2019, I had the honor to meet the legendary baseball player Pete Rose. Pete Rose, nicknamed “Charlie Hustle,” played in Major League Baseball from 1963 to 1986 with the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, and Montreal Expos, setting numerous all-time records including games played (3,562), hits (4,256), at-bats (14,053), and plate appearances (15,890). Over his career, he posted a .303 batting average with 2,165 runs scored, 746 doubles, 135 triples, 160 home runs, 1,314 RBIs, and 198 stolen bases, along with a .375 on-base percentage and .409 slugging percentage. In 2019 I travel to just outside of Las Vegas to Whiskey Pete’s Casino (now closed) to see the infamous Bonnie & Clyde death car. It currently is located at Primm Valley Resort & Casino.
