Pete Rose, nicknamed “Charlie Hustle,” played in Major League Baseball from 1963 to 1986 with the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, and Montreal Expos, setting numerous all-time records including games played (3,562), hits (4,256), at-bats (14,053), and plate appearances (15,890). Over his career, he posted a .303 batting average with 2,165 runs scored, 746 doubles, 135 triples, 160 home runs, 1,314 RBIs, and 198 stolen bases, along with a .375 on-base percentage and .409 slugging percentage.     In 2019 I travel to just outside of Las Vegas to Whiskey Pete’s Casino (now closed) to see the infamous Bonnie & Clyde death car. It currently is located at Primm Valley Resort & Casino. Stop by if you ever get in the vicinity. If you’re planning a road trip from Las Vegas, swing by Primm — the display is free and available around the clock.
